Welcome! This website includes information about my work, both as a historian and as a modern dancer and choreographer. Related to history, you will find a summary of my current research, my curriculum vitae, syllabi from courses I have taught, and information about the Townsend Center Working Group in the History and Social Studies of Medicine and the Body (known as Med Heads) that I run at U.C. Berkeley. Related to dance, you will find my dance biography, a downloadable video of a recently choreographed dance-theater solo, "Periodicity," based on my historical research, and a review of an earlier piece, "Communion."
